Springboks use XLR8® to “Get up to Speed”. - Wednesday, November 19, 2008

On the 18th September 2006, the Springboks started an intensive conditioning program with the XLR8® Franchised Trainers. The Trainers are Waldo van Heerden and Adele du Toit, both Biokinetisists from the HPC Pretoria. The other two are Elsje Jordaan and Will Mbanga who are Sports Scientists from Gauteng.

The Training Camp commenced with the squad being tested and evaluated by Adele du Toit with Biomechanical Video Analysis.
Thereafter, the squad was put through the XLR8® Speed and Core Stability Program.

At the time of publishing this communication, they are only a third of the way through the intensive program, with positive results. Unfortunately, the entire squad is not available, due to injuries and commitments to their Currie Cup Teams.

All in all, a lot of hard work has been put in, with the “Fun Element” as part of the Camp.
